Picked in mid-April, Mao Feng is a classic Chinese green tea made from plucking one leaf and the young bud. The long, curly leaves brew to a bright yellow-green cup and impart a smooth and rich flavor of leafy greens with very little astringency.

Harvest: Mid-April, 2018 (pre-Rain)


Use 1 teaspoon per 6 oz cup. Heat water until steaming (170ยบ F). Steep 3 minutes. Good for multiple infusions.

The soil in the Guizhou Plateau is rich in zinc and selenium which contribute to a a higher level of anti-oxidants in the leaf. The favorable soil conditions and longer growing period in high altitudes allow Guizhou's green teas to absorb more nutrients and also offer richer flavors.
