Chinese Yixing clay teapots originated in 16th century China. Highly prized by scholars and artists of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), Chinese Yixing teapots were perceived to bring out the best flavor of fine Chinese teas and collected for their whimsical designs and elegant beauty.
Our Yixing teapots are handcrafted in China according to traditional methods. Each teapot bears a chop mark or "signature" of the artist, a reminder of every teapot's high quality and craftsmanship. Made of unglazed earthenware, our teapots are lead-free and are FDA approved.
Each of our teapots features an easy pour, no-drip spout.
