Made of light clay with a terracotta brush stroke, this small teapot is perfect for brewing delicate, high-quality teas that prefer a lower steeping temperature. Known as houhin or “treasure pots”, these small teapots without handles are traditionally used to make Gyokuro tea (and other high-quality Sencha teas). The small size is ideally suited to steeping a large quantity of leaves for repeated infusions.
