Known as "deep-steamed" tea, this second flush sencha brews a deep lime-green cup with a bold, rich flavor. The leaves of fukamushi tea are steamed longer than standard sencha, resulting in a more intense flavor and less bitterness. Makes a great iced tea.
Origin: Japan, Shizuoka Prefecture, Kawane.
Harvest: June 2011 Second Flush
Brewing Recommendation: Use 1 teaspoon per 6 oz cup. Heat water until steaming (170 - 180º F). Let steep 30-60 seconds. Good for multiple infusions.
