Details
From the Dong Ding mountains in Taiwan, this special oolong tea has been aged for 15 years. Most Chinese teamakers set aside some oolong teas for aging. Aged oolongs are taken out of storage and periodically re-baked to remove moisture and heighten the flavor. The result is a very smooth tea with a thick, chewy texture and rich, roasted aroma. The flavor is similar to a fine Puerh tea without the earthiness.
When brewed, the tea creates a dark mahogany colored cup. The flavor of this tea is very long-lasting. Brewed gongfu style, one serving of leaves can be re-brewed at least 8 times.
