This Chinese teacup set is specially suited for serving tea gongfu style. The set includes one aroma cup, one tasting cup and a lacquered rosewood-finish tray to hold both cups. The aroma cup is the taller one and is where the host initially pours the tea. The guest then pours the tea into the tasting cup and smells from the empty aroma cup. The aroma in the aroma cup smells different from the aroma in the tasting cup and changes subtly as the cup cools. The guest drinks from the tasting cup.
This set features a blue bamboo leaf design on white background. The interior of both cups is white.
